City of Portland: Fall Brook Watershed Improvements
– Phase II

Shaw Brothers Construction was awarded phase one of a multi-year, three phase infrastructure improvement project located in a residential section of Portland, Maine. The first phase of this project was designed to close an open storm drain system, as well as separate a combined storm and sanitary sewer system. The major elements of the project were the installation of 3,800 feet of 8’X5’ precast box culvert, construction of 1,000 feet of stream channel, installation of a pedestrian bridge over the new stream channel and installation of a 12' diameter precast Downstream Defender.
