Shaw Brothers Construction, Inc. is now 100% OSHA-10 Certified
|
On April 13th, 2007, during its annual safety day, Shaw Brothers Construction required all personnel to participate in an OSHA 10-hour certification class. The 10-hour class is designed to emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. The topics covered included: general safety and health provisions, electrical, fall protection, personal protective and lifesaving equipment, materials handling (storage, use, and disposal), hand and power tools, scaffolds, cranes, excavations, ladders, etc. Annually Shaw Brothers requires new personnel to become OSHA-10 certified.
The OSHA-10 certification is another example of Shaw Brothers Construction's emphasis on safety. Over the years Shaw Brothers has strived to differ itself from its competition with in the industry and has once again done so by being the first company of it's size in the State of Maine to be 100% OSHA-10 Certified. |
