| S haw Brothers Construction is fully committed to the safety of its employees, its subcontractors and the general public. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do. The key to our successful safety program is the participation of all Shaw Brothers' employees.
Many of our employees have been trained in First Aid & CPR, Air Monitoring procedures, OSHA standards and MSHA Part 46 regulations. Our supervisors hold weekly on-site safety meetings for their crews and we have 40 employees who have been through the 40 Hour HAZWOPER training. Many of these safety courses are reinforced each year with refresher courses.
Our outstanding safety record has enabled us to join an elite group of contractors as part of a trust that self-insures their Workers Compensation coverage. This is a testament to the effectiveness of our safety program and our confidence in our employees' commitment to working safely.
Shaw Brothers past commitment to safety is exhibited in our Experience Modification Factor (mod). Since 1992 our mod rate has averaged below .80 and has been as low as .68. |
